Eight Untitled Islands

2006-2008

Drawings based on maps of islands to which it is common that the Swedish

chaffinch migrates (a tiny bird whose female migrates alone from Sweden to

the north of the U.K). Drawn by silverpoint on claybound paper. Over time the

silver will oxidize, leaving the marks to tarnish into slight brown lines and

slowly begin to fade and disappear.
